Hospice of the Chesapeake staff, volunteers and sponsors are in the final stages of preparing for the nonprofit’s 15th annual golf tournament that will take place Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Queenstown Harbor Golf Links.

Each year the committee planning the event tries to outdo the previous tournament. This year, along with breakfast before the start and drinks along the course, they have included an Under Armour windbreaker in the goodie bag, added a bourbon bar to go with lunch at the ninth hole, and will serve up an oyster and shrimp bar to go along with the sumptuous feast at the awards banquet.

This year’s presenting sponsors are First National Bank and All Green Management, Inc., with co-sponsors Carpet and Wood Floor Liquidators and Greenberg Gibbons Commercial.

Other sponsors include Shaw Industries, Stanley Engineering, Tech USA, Datalink Interactive, Severn Savings Bank, The Wilburn Company, Armstrong Flooring, Charter Financial Group, C&R Electric, Lehigh Cement Company, Messick & Associates, Sandy Spring Bank and Whitehall Management.

More than 200 golfers participated in last year’s event, raising $125,000 for the nonprofit that serves Anne Arundel and Prince George’s counties.

For more information or to become a sponsor, contact Chris Wilson at 443-837-1530 or [email protected]. To register your foursome, visit www.hospicechesapeake.org/support-donate/signature-events/annual-golf-tournament.
