In the thick of a playoff race, the Bowie Baysox, Class AA Minor League Baseball Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, welcome the Erie SeaWolves and Reading Fightin Phils to Prince George’s Stadium for a six game homestand beginning on Friday, August 18. Promotional highlights include the David Bowie tribute and jersey auction along with the final two fireworks shows of the season.
Friday, August 18, 7:05 p.m. vs. Erie SeaWolves– David Bowie Tribute and Jersey Auction – The Baysox honor the legendary rocker who shares the name of your hometown team! There will be a David Bowie themed Game Worn Jersey Auction with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society, music and more! (This event was rescheduled from July 28 due to weather). Fireworks and Glow In the Park Night – After the game, the Baysox light up the skies with the Best Fireworks Spectacular in the region! The first 3,000 fans will get a free glow stick so you can be a part of the post-game Fireworks glow show presented by Educational Systems Federal Credit Union. Saturday, August 19, 6:35 p.m. vs. Erie SeaWolves– Kids Halloween Party & Back to School Celebration – Come dressed up in your favorite Halloween costume for trick-or-treating and more Halloween fun. Kids Backpack Bag Giveaway presented by Money One Federal Credit Union – The first 500 fans ages 3-12 will receive a Backpack Bag giveaway as The Baysox celebration Kids Appreciation Night with kids only raffles, contests and more. Bring your glove and a ball and head out onto the outfield at the stadium to play catch! Both events will run from 12:30 – 1:00 pm. Tuesday, August 22, 7:05 p.m. vs. Reading Fightin Phils – LEGO Play Ball Tour – The LEGO Play Ball Tour experience includes interactive opportunities for kids to have fun before and during the Baysox game. Activities on the LEGO Play Ball Tour include building tables for creative play, family challenges, photo opportunities with life-size LEGO models, and a chance to build and launch your own LEGO creations down a race ramp. Dollar Dog Night presented by Maryland Pennysaver – Enjoy $1 hot dogs from the time the main gates open through the 7th inning stretch! Limit 2 hots dogs per person, per transaction. Tailgate Tuesday Happy Hour & Live Music presented by Bud Light – All fans with tickets to a Tuesday Night Baysox Home Game are invited to come out to the ballpark a little early and enjoy $2.00 12 oz.
