Amps & Ales Festival coming to Prince George’s Stadium in September

Two local agencies have partnered to create the Amps & Ales Festival, hosting the first annual event at Prince George’s Stadium (home of the Bowie Baysox) on Saturday September 16, 2017. Humdinger Productions – a Crofton-based event management company – and the Symmetry Agency – an Annapolis-based marketing agency – have united to create a local event that will showcase craft beer along with a lineup of regional and local bands.

“We’re extremely excited to launch this festival in Bowie,” said Ben Isenberg of the Symmetry Agency. “As a resident of Bowie, I feel it will be a great event to bring the community together in mid-September. Having the support of the Baysox was critical to our decision of bringing the festival there, and we are excited to build a long-term relationship with the organization.”

Amps & Ales will host over 25 of Maryland’s regional breweries such as Flying Dog Brewery, Heavy Seas Beer, and Jailbreak Brewing Company. What will help to make the Amps & Ales festival stand apart from other festivals is the music lineup. “Our agency puts on dozens of events a year, and I am so excited to create an event in my backyard that really stresses the awesome music we have in the area,” commented Kacy Jenkins of Humdinger Productions. The lineup was curated by musician Tyler Vaillant. The festival’s headliner is People’s Blues of Richmond, Higher Hands with Horns (a James Brown Tribute Set), Kit and The Chardonnay Boys, Del Florida, Kitten Breath, and more.

The festival will be from 12pm to 8pm on Saturday, September 16th in the Prince George’s Stadium parking lot. Tickets start at $25 and include 10 beer sample tickets. Tickets for additional pints will be sold individually for $5, or a five pack of tickets for $20. VIP tickets are $75 and include festival express entry at 11am, a commemorative souvenir glass, 15 sampler tickets, access to the VIP tent with VIP beer and food. Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 15th, 2017 on www.AmpAndAles.com
