Military Bowl announces sponsors for 2016 game

The Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman, benefiting the USO, today proudly announced its lineup of sponsors for this year’s game on December 27 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The National Capital Region’s college football bowl game, which this year celebrates USO’s 75th anniversary, continues to be supported by many longtime partners throughout the area with several new sponsors coming on board as well.

Title sponsor Northrop Grumman and philanthropic partner USO are in their seventh season working with the Bowl. Sponsoring the Military Bowl provides Northrop Grumman a unique and engaging way to support the work of the USO and its mission to connect service members to family, home and country throughout their service to the nation. 

The Naval Academy Athletic Association also returns as the hosting sponsor of the game. Events DC continues its support as the Bowl’s Founding Partner.

Military Bowl Five-Star Sponsors include Marriott International and NewDay USA

The JW Marriott Washington DC, Renaissance Washington DC Downtown and The Mayflower serve as official hotels for the teams, bands and fans.

One of the nation’s leading lenders and a 2014 recipient of the Mortgage Banker’s Hall of Honor for its work in assisting our nation’s veterans and their families, NewDay USA is once again sponsoring the pregame Medal of Honor Reception.

This year’s Military Bowl matches No. 23 Temple and Wake Forest. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN.
