Anne Arundel County Police have made an arrest in the stabbing death of a Glen Burnie woman earlier this week.

From the AACoPD:

As the investigation continued several pieces of evidence related to the crime have been recovered and submitted for forensic analysis. Detectives continued to conduct numerous interviews with witnesses that had information related to the murder of Ikea Jackson. Through these investigative steps detectives were able to positively identify Tashaya Raeshon Turner, a thirty seven year old female from the 20th block of Grasonville Terrace, Grasonville, Maryland as the person who murdered Ikea Jackson.

On Tuesday, December 6, 2016, Homicide detectives secured an arrest warrant charging Tashaya Turner with the following in regards to the murder of Ms. Jackson: First Degree Murder, Second Degree Murder, Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure, along with First and Second Degree Assault. The investigation revealed this was a targeted crime and not a random act of violence.

On Wednesday, December 7, 2016, Homicide detectives executed a search warrant in the 900 block of Ramsay Street, Baltimore, Maryland. During the execution of the search warrant Tashaya Turner was taken into custody without incident. Tashaya Turner is currently being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center on a no bond status.

Even though an arrest has been made, this is a very fluid and active investigation the Anne Arundel County Police are urging anyone with information to come forward by calling the Anne Arundel County Homicide Unit at 410-222-4731. If people with information wish to remain anonymous they can also contact the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line 410-222-4700 or Metro Crime Stoppers.
