The Anne Arundel County Department of Health is seeking Proposals of Interest from nonprofit substance use disorder or co-occurring disorder treatment providers that are interested in expanding outpatient treatment capacity within the county. As a result of submitted proposals, the Anne Arundel County Department of Health may request funds from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Behavioral Health Administration to provide eligible providers with startup funds, contingent on funding availability.
The startup funds can be used to expand treatment capacity to fill gaps in the public behavioral health service outpatient or ambulatory substance-related disorders treatment continuum. Funds may be requested for one-time startup costs, such as renting, leasing or purchasing space to provide direct services; hiring staff; staff training; equipment and supplies; utilities; and advertising. Fees for accreditation are allowable.
The deadline for applications will be Monday, November 21, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. For more information about eligibility requirements and the application, go to the Hot Topics section of the Department of Health’s homepage at www.aahealth.org, or call Sandy O’Neill, LCPC, Behavioral Health Bureau Director, at 410-222-7165.
