County Executive Schuh teaches Economics class at AACC

aaccclassEarlier this week, County Executive Steve Schuh  taught a class in “Consumer Economics and Personal Finance” at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold.  

“Our Community College is helping students learn the skills to be successful professionals,” said Schuh. “Financial literacy is crucial to helping any family thrive in our modern economy.”

The lecture was part of the Community College’s Economics 113 curriculum. During the course, students study economic theory as it applies to consumer decision making. They learn how to make practical choices regarding consumer saving, investing and budgeting. They are also taught the use of credit, insurance, housing, career choice, retirement and estate planning.

During the 50 minute class, the County Executive lectured students on Investing in Mutual Funds, Real Estate and other choices.
