This is the 10th homicide of the year in Annapolis which is an all time record.
While Clay Street is not public housing, much of the crime this year has centered on public housing in the City which has angered residents.  The Maryland Crabs podcast has produced episodes featuring Robert Eades, an outspoken activist; Jessica Pachler, a resident who lives near a public housing complex; and most recently, Sandra Chapman and Chip Doordan–both members of the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis Board.
