AACC Hosting “A Panel Discussion on Domestic Violence: #NOMORE…Know More” Nov. 9

domestic-violence-400x258What do you get when you bring together an assistant state’s attorney, victim-witness specialist, lawyer and survivor for a discussion about domestic violence? You get the panel discussion at Anne Arundel Community College on Wednesday evening.

The panel will focus on warning signs to watch for, the prevalence of domestic violence in our community, relationship violence in the LGBT community and strategies for how to help someone you suspect is a victim of domestic violence. Attendees will also hear a personal account from a domestic violence survivor.

For the third consecutive year, The Legal Studies Institute at Anne Arundel Community College will host a panel discussion on domestic violence Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the Cade Center for Fine Arts Room 219 and is open to the community. 

The panel, “A Panel Discussion on Domestic Violence: #NOMORE…Know More,” will bring together legal and community experts to address domestic violence issues and cases within Maryland. The panel will focus on warning signs to watch for, the prevalence of domestic violence in our community, relationship violence in the LGBT community and strategies for how to help someone you suspect is a victim of domestic violence. You’ll also hear a personal account from a domestic violence survivor.

  • Maria Putzi, victim-witness specialist, State’s Attorney’s Office Victim Witness Unit
