Mexican song, dance and poetry. Free performances on September 16th

Radio JarochoA free program featuring Mexican music, dance and poetry will be presented at September 16 at 7 P.M.. in the Annapolis High School Auditorium, 2700 Riva Rd.  The performance by Radio Jarocho mixes the music from the countryside of Veracruz mixed with the sounds of the city.   

The group uses traditional instruments to create a contemporary sound that captures the spirit of the traditional style.  Radio Jarocho performs at cultural festivals throughout the United States.  The musicians include Zenen Zeferino, Juan Carlos Marin and Carlos Cuestas.  Julia del Palaci, the dancer, has danced with the Washington Ballet. 

The concert is a joint presentation by World Artists Experiences in cooperation with the Mexican Cultural Institute and the Embassy of Mexico.  WAE is a non-profit organization which bridges international understanding through cultural exchanges.
