LIVE BLOG: Navy Vs Fordham, September 3, 2016

Charging GoatNavy and Fordham will meet for the second time overall and the first time since 1914 when they square off at noon today at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.

Navy is 4-4 in season openers under Navy Head Coach Ken Niumatalolo, including a 3-0 mark when opening up at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Navy’s four opening-game losses under Niumatalolo have come at the hands of Ohio State twice (once in Columbus and once in Baltimore), Maryland (Baltimore) and Notre Dame (Dublin, Ireland).

Navy enters Saturday’s contest having won 10 straight home games. Its last loss at home was on Sept. 27, 2014, when the Mids lost to Western Kentucky, 36-27.

The March-On of the Brigade of Midshipmen will take place at 11:41 am.

A fly-over will take place at the conclusion of the national anthem at approximately 11:52 am. The fly-over will be from VAW-121 out of Norfolk, Va.

There will be a parachute jumper that will be jumping into Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium with a game ball at 11:58 am.
