Annapolis Police investigating possible Eastport home invasion, details are limited

| September 10, 2016, 01:34 PM | 0 Comments

UPDATE:  Police are not releasing too much information on this investigation. However, they did advise us that the victim in this investigation was not a child or a juvenile and they have not classified this as a home invasion and at this point it is an incident under investigation. We have corrected the information below.

InvestigationDetails have not been released from the Annapolis Police Department but from residents in the area, they are investigating an early morning incident home invasion in the area of Chester Avenue and Horn Point Drive a the end of the peninsula.

Neighbors reported that a young girl was tied up and a significant amount of property was stolen by several suspects.  Police were scouring the neighborhood with K-9 dogs earlier this morning.

The Annapolis Police Department HAS NOT released any information and this information has been gathered from neighbors that live in the area.  Please stay tuned for updates as they become available.

This is a good time to remind everyone to take some simple safety precautions:

  • Always lock your home and car
  • Never leave valuables in plain sight in your car
  • Keep lights on in your home
  • Keep shrubbery trimmed
  • Watch out for your neighbors
  • Report ANY suspicious activity…police would rather investigate an unfounded call than a robbery
