AMM to host 12th Annual Boatyard Beach Bash this Saturday

bybb-kathy-jones-michael-utley-georgie-dick-franyo-tom-weaver-regina-welshThe Annapolis Maritime Museum is hosting the 12th Annual Boatyard Beach Bash, Saturday, September 17th, 2016 at their waterfront property in Eastport. Founding Sponsor, Boatyard Bar & Grill, Title Sponsor, Annapolis Subaru, and their Carbon Neutral Sponsor, Hannon Armstrong, have worked their magic once again, and have put together the event’s best lineup, to date. With Coral Reefers, Peter Mayer, Brendan Mayer and Doyle Grisham, as well as world-class musicians, John Frinzi, Scott Kirby, Aaron Scherz, James “Sunny Jim” White, JD Spradlin from Radio Margaritaville and Tom Corcoran. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy these world class artists in an intimate setting at the beautiful waterfront campus of the Annapolis Maritime Museum in Eastport.

While it receives acclaim for being one of the best parties in Annapolis, the Boatyard Beach Bash is most importantly a philanthropic event that raises significant funds for the Annapolis Maritime Museum’s education programs that serve the entire community.  Of particular note with environmental responsibility at the forefront, the Boatyard Beach Bash is a zero waste/carbon neutral event.

“With the proceeds from this event benefiting the Museum’s education programs, we cannot express our gratitude enough for the continued support of Dick Franyo of the Boatyard Bar & Grill and our other sponsors. With their help, we have been able to raise over $680,000 since 2004 and host more than 6,000 local students at the Museum this year alone. The Museum’s award-winning environmental education programs are pivotal to establishing a connection between the younger generation and the Chesapeake Bay.  The majority of these programs are offered free or at minimal costs to students,” comments Alice Estrada, Annapolis Maritime Museum Executive Director.”

For just $75.00 per general admission ticket, each patron will receive a grilled buffet dinner provided by the Boatyard Bar & Grill, 2 drink vouchers and the opportunity to witness first class entertainment from the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. With a $125.00 V.I.P. (Very Important Parrothead) ticket, guests gain admittance to an exclusive reception prior to the concert, where they will have the opportunity to meet touring and recording members of the Jimmy Buffett Band before they perform– enjoying signature Painkiller cocktails and catered hors d’oeuvres from the area’s best caterers. Afterwards, they will join the festivities from a reserved, Bay-front concert seat.  VIP is sold out–bummer!

Both General Admission and V.I.P. tickets are available now at www.amaritime.org. Don’t hesitate to purchase yours, as this event sells out each year.
