The Light House: A Homeless Prevention and Support Center is pleased to announce the hire of Jo Ann Mattson as Director of Development and Communications. An Annapolis resident since 1995, Ms. Mattson taught at The Key School, and worked in Development for St. John’s College and the Anne Arundel Community College Foundation before joining the team at The Light House. Ms. Mattson will work with private and public funders to secure the center’s annual budget for operations and programs.

“Working at The Light House has been a dream of mine for a very long time,” Mattson says. “I am very honored to be a part of this team.” The Light House welcomes JoAnne’s mission driven passion for helping make homelessness in Anne Arundel County brief and rare; she brings experience, compassion and dedication to the work.

The Light House is located on 10 Hudson Street in Annapolis. Its mission is to help rebuild lives with compassion by providing emergency shelter and services to prevent homelessness and empower people as they transition toward housing, employment and self-sufficiency.
