The Muddy Creek Artists Guild (MCAG) is pleased to announce two unique art shows in September.  The shows are free and open to the public. 

The “Muddy Creek Boutique” art show and sale at Greenstreet Gardens in Lothian MD will feature 18 gifted artists and artisans who work in a variety of 3-D media, which includes textiles, jewelry, pottery, book making, mixed media and fused glass.   The show is being held in conjunction with the Greenstreet Gardens annual Fall Festival.  The “Boutique” will be open Saturday and Sunday, September 17-18 from 8:30am-5:00pm at Greenstreet Gardens, located at 391 W. Bay Front Road. Lothian, MD.

The Captain Avery Museum in Shady Side, MD will host the artists of Muddy Creek in a gallery show entitled “Harvesters of Light” in the Great Hall Gallery of the Museum. This art show and sale will feature framed original paintings and photography, matted prints, stained glass, outdoor sculpture, and one-of-a-kind jewelry all created by 15 talented artists who live and work in Southern Anne Arundel County.   The show will open on Saturday, September 24 at 10am with an Opening Reception and award ceremony from 1-4m. The exhibit will be open with artists present on Sunday September 25 and October 2nd from 1-4pm and Saturday, October 1 from 10am-4pm. The Captain Avery Museum is located at1418 E. West Shady Side Road, Shady Side, Maryland.  The exhibit will continue to be on display in October during usual Museum hours through the Oyster Festival on October 16th.

MCAG President Jennifer Heinz said “We are very excited to continue our relationship with our hosts, Greenstreet Gardens and the Captain Avery Museum, for two very unique and quite different Muddy Creek shows. Our artists have been preparing since April for a busy Fall season and these two shows offer visitors the chance to explore and enjoy the artwork as well as explore the wonderful setting in which it is displayed.” 

The Muddy Creek Artists Guild is a roving band of intrepid artists who live or work in Southern Anne Arundel County.
