Macaroni Kid accepting nominations for 2016 Golden Daisy Awards

Macaroni KidMacaroni Kid Annapolis kicked off its Gold Daisy Awards last week. The Awards will highlight the places families love in our community: from favorite businesses, service providers, places to play and more! Macaroni Kid Annapolis, a trusted source for parents in Annapolis and Edgewater is the go-to source for discovering family-friendly events around town.

The nomination process for the 2016 Macaroni Kid Annapolis Gold Daisy Awards is open through August 31, 2016.  Categories focus on places to entertain, stimulate and exhaust kids, as well as those businesses that just plain make parents’ life easier.  Businesses nominated must be in Annapolis or Edgewater. Nominations will be tabulated and the top nominations will be submitted for final voting beginning on September 1.  Winners will be announced in mid-October.

For business owners in the area, Macaroni Kid’s Gold Daisy Awards are an easy way to promote their business and obtain free advertising. The winning business in each category will receive the Macaroni Kid stamp of approval including a certificate to display at their location, the stamp of approval logo to use on their website, and a free one-year listing in Macaroni Kid’s business directory. The business with the most overall votes will win a one-year advertising package with Macaroni Kid Annapolis.

Local families can nominate their favorite businesses via the link posted on www.annapolis.macaronikid.com. As a thank you for participating, parents that nominate and vote for their favorites will be entered for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Target!

Macaroni Kid Annapolis was launched in December 2010. Currently 3,800 local families subscriber to the free weekly newsletter and the website receives more than 70,000 monthly page views. In addition to being the largest kid and family-friendly local events calendar in the area, Macaroni Kid offers informative articles on parenting, education, product reviews, crafts, recipes and so much more! Combine that with their Facebook page followers, and Macaroni Kid has quickly grown into the place that keeps families “in the know” about all of our area’s kid-friendly events, venues and businesses.
