Baysox bats lack thunder to pull out a win

Baysox 2016Matthew Grimes was strong in six solid innings but the Baysox could not get their bats going in a 3-1 loss to Trenton Tuesday night. The Thunder who boast the best team ERA in the league, have held Bowie to three runs in two games in this series.

Tucker Nathans then drove a ball towards the gap in left-center but Trenton outfielder Michael O’Neill tracked it down to end the inning. The Baysox did not push a runner into scoring position after the fourth inning.

Trenton tied the game on a two-out, RBI-double by Dante Bichette Jr. to know the game at 1-apiece in the second inning. Three singles grabbed the lead for the Thunder in the fourth. They pushed an unearned run home in the seventh inning against reliever Logan Ondrusek who threw two strong innings.
