Terdoslavich drive Baysox to a 5-4 win

baysoxJoey Terdoslavich drove home three runs and Parker Bridwell looked electric out of the pen as the Baysox defeated Akron in the series opener at Canal Park 5-4.

The Baysox trailed 3-2 in the top of the sixth inning. Chance Sisco lined a solid single to right field to lead off the frame. Garabez Rosa then reached on an infield single. That set the table for Terdoslavich, who had already driven home a run with an RBI-double, to drive the ball over the head of centerfielder Greg Allen. Both runners scored on the Terdoslavich 2-run triple.

He would later score on a two-out Adrian Marin infield single to give Bowie a 5-3 lead.

Bowie was up 5-4 when Bridwell entered the contest. He entered with runners at the corners and two down in the sixth inning and he got a strikeout to preserve the lead. In the end, Bridwell got seven outs, five of which via the strikeout. Donnie Hart came on and registered his third save of the year in his second appearance since returning from the bigs.

Brandon Barker (5-4) got his first July win going 5 and 2/3rd innings while allowing four runs. Rosa extended his hit streak to ten games. Sisco, Marin and Drew Dosch each registered multi-hit games to go with Terdoslavich. The defeat for Akron was a seventh consecutive loss.
