Rotary awards $4000 to students

scholarshipawardThe Rotary Club of Annapolis presented certificates to four students, with their four $1,000 scholarships each sent directly to their college of choice.

Recipients, their parents, their high schools and their colleges are:           

  • Aristides N. Hadjipanteli, son of Nicos and Christina Hadjipanteli of Annapolis, Annapolis High School, Georgetown University.
  • Katrina R. Korbelak, daughter of Mathew and Stacy Korbelak of Odenton, Annapolis High School, University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
  • Elaine Jaross, daughter of Glen Jaross and Mary Gassmann of Annapolis, Broadneck High School, University of Illinois at Champagne.
  • Hanna K. Tobin, daughter of Kimberly Tobin of Annapolis, St. Mary’s High School, Clemson University.

Scholarship applicants meet certain criteria including a commitment to community service as well as intention to attend an accredited college or university. The Rotary Club of Annapolis presents a total of $4,000 annually to Annapolis-area high school graduates.
