Junior League to host open house in August

juniorleagueJunior League of Annapolis, Inc. (JLA) invites women in the community who are interested in learning more about joining the Junior League to attend their New Member Open House on Sunday, August 14th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Annapolis Smokehouse and Tavern.

All women over the age of 21 years, living in Anne Arundel County and its vicinity, are invited to attend the New Member Open House and apply for membership to the organization’s fall 2016 provisional training class.

The New Member Open House offers prospective members the opportunity to learn about the mission and activities of the Junior League, as well as the chance to speak with current members about their volunteer and social experiences within the organization.

“As an Annapolitan, I wanted more out of just living here. I wanted to make a difference in the community and develop leadership skills that I was not getting at my day-to-day job. JLA has helped me see the true impact of paying it forward through our community impact projects, Seeds 4 Success and Read 2 Kids. The league has also offered me a great opportunity to develop my leadership skills through co-chairing a committee and being a member of the Board of Directors,” says member, Racheal Morrison, Provisional Committee Co-Chair and Board Member, At-Large New Members.

To register for the New Member Open House, please visit www.jlannapolis.org. For more information, contact Rachael Morrison and Liz Murphy at [email protected].  You may also contact JLA at 410-224-8984.
