Baysox out-dueled in 11 inning loss

Baysox 2016Jaysox Aquino worked eight strong innings but the Baysox could not push home a run late and fell in 11 innings in Binghamton by a 3-2 final score.

Binghamton got a leadoff walk from Phillip Evans to start the 11th. Baysox reliever Stefab Crighton then struckout Amed Rosario but an opposite field single from Dominic Smith to left field moved the runner from first to third. Matt Oberste then hit a broken bat roller to the right side and even though the infield was in the throw to the plate was not in time.

Drew Dosch had another big night for Bowie. After a three-hit night in the series opener, Dosch was a part of both Bowie runs tonight. Dosch tripled with two down in the third to right-center and scored on an RBI-single from Garabez Rosa. In the seventh inning, Dosch doubled home Adrian Marin with a double to left-center.

Bowie got two scoreless innings from Jimmy Yacabonis who worked through a jam in the tenth inning. Binghamton got four scoreless innings from their pen from a trio of B-Mets.
