One person was seriously injured as the result of a long fall from a parking garage at Annapolis Mall Saturday night. Just after 9:45 p.m. firefighters responded to the area of the red garage at the mall for an injured person. Firefighters located a 17-year-old male in the parking lot who had fallen approximately 40 feet after jumping over a wall. The patient mistakenly believed he was jumping to another area of the garage at the same level. A Maryland State Police helicopter was requested and landed at the Bestgate Recreational Park. The patient was flown by helicopter to Shock Trauma with injuries that were serious but not believed life-threatening.
