The National Sailing Hall of Fame (NSHOF), in conjunction with the Chesapeake Traditional Sailboat Association (CTSA), will be hosting the 7th Annual Classic Wooden Sailboat Rendezvous & Race, September 24 – 25. Registration for this event is now open and owners of wooden-hulled sailboats designed prior to 1970 are invited to learn more by visiting bit.ly/nshof-classicwoodensailboatrace, where there is a link to register online. A printable version of the entry form is also available to download from this page.

This unique event offers classic boat afficionados a fun opportunity to join together with classic wooden sailboats of all sizes as they showcase their history and elegance, while also providing an informal opportunity to compete in a low-key race against other classic wooden vessels.

A discounted Early Bird entry fee of $30 is available to those who register by Thursday, August 25, after which the the regular entry fee of $50 will apply until registrations close on Sunday, September 18.

Each year this event grows in popularity, with participating boats traveling from as far away as Canada, and ranging in size from 8-feet to 65-feet. If you don’t own a classic wooden sailboat, or know someone who does, not to worry. The two Schooners Woodwind are planning on racing in this event, and you can sign up for a spot in the race. Details will be available soon from their website, http://www.schoonerwoodwind.com

Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to meet with fellow wooden sailboat enthusiasts, take part in a fun race, and show off your classically designed sailboat at the National Sailing Hall of Fame’s docks in Annapolis, Maryland.
