Air National Guard Band of the Northeast: Free Summer Concert Series

June 30th at 7:00 PM

The Air National Guard Band of the Northeast serves as musical ambassadors for both military and civilian audiences throughout the entire Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region. The band consists of 40 members who are all traditional Air National Guard members with civilian careers who meet one weekend a month to rehearse and perform. The band will perform a diverse concert of wind band favorites.

Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra

July 16th at 7:30 PM

Silent Movies come back to life again when the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra returns to Maryland Hall! The PRSO will underscore Buster Keaton’s masterpiece, THE GENERAL, with the original orchestral musical score while the film plays on the screen. Come see Keaton at his comedic best, in a story of love, locomotive, and laughs!

Vox Pop: Free Summer Concert Series

July 28th at 7:00 PM

The A Cappella group Vox Pop returns to Maryland Hall to entertain audiences with their soulful melodies, tight harmonies, and a beat that can’t be denied. This Washington, DC-based group recently won the 2nd Annual A-Ca Challenge Competition hosted at DC’s Lincoln Theatre.

Aeolus Quartet

August 14th at 4:00 PM

Violinists Nicholas Tavani and Rachel Shapiro, violist Gregory Luce, and cellist Alan Richardson formed the Aeolus Quartet in 2008 at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Since its inception, the all-American quartet has been awarded prizes at nearly every major competition in the United States and performed across the globe. Praised by the Baltimore Sun for combining “smoothly meshed technique with a sense of spontaneity and discovery,” the Aeolus Quartet is committed to presenting time-seasoned masterworks and new cutting-edge works to widely diverse audiences with equal freshness, dedication, and fervor.

Second City: Free Speech While Supplies Lasts

October 7th at 8:00 PM

Performing social and political satire in two 45-minute acts of scripted scenes, music, and improvisation, THE SECOND CITY TOURING COMPANY is always original, daring, and hilarious. Their alumni list is a veritable “Who’s Who” of comedy including Bill Murray, John & Jim Belushi, Mike Myers, Steve Carell, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tina Fey, Joan Rivers, John Candy, Stephen Colbert, Jason Sudeikis and so many more.
