Fleet Feet Sports and runners from area celebrate All4Run on June 1

fleet feet all 4 1Fleet Feet Sports, the local retail leader in supporting the Greater Annapolis running community, celebrated National Running Day with “All4Run,” a nationwide initiative that encouraged communities to take part in a special June 1 group run at their local Fleet Feet Sports.

The event took place on June 1st at all 162 Fleet Feet Sports locations in the United States, covering 38 states and the District of Columbia in an effort to showcase the breadth, importance, and influence of running communities across the country.

The event coincided both with Global Running Day, which encourages runners to declare their passion for running by participating in a run, encouraging friends to run, signing up for a race, or setting a new goal, as well as the brand’s founding 40 years ago.

The Fleet Feet All4Run event saw runners from clubs across Annapolis and Anne Arundel County coming together to celebrate the running community. Members of the Annapolis Striders’, the Anne Arundel Striders’, Team RWB and Anne Arundel County Moms Run This Town as well as members of Fleet Feet Annapolis and Severna Park’s Weekly Group Runs run one of three courses that were laid out for them for 1,2, or 3.5 miles through beautiful downtown Annapolis.

Ann Brennan, Marketing Manager at Fleet Feet Sports said, “Annapolis is truly a running town, watching so many runners from so many different clubs come together to celebrate National Running Day and Fleet Feet’s 40th birthday just goes to show that there is no better place to be a runner.”

Throughout the summer Fleet Feet Annapolis will host group runs, including their popular Suds by the Shore Pub Run series as a means to continue supporting the local running community. Learn more at http://www.fleetfeetannapolis.com/.
