On June 26, 2016, at 2:00 a.m. officers from the Northern District responded to the area of Chalmers Avenue and Baltimore Avenue for a complaint of suspicious people/vehicle in the neighborhood. The complainant advised that it appeared the people inside the vehicle were driving through the neighborhood attempting to break into cars. When officers arrived in the area, they located the vehicle, a black Honda Civic and a traffic stop was conducted.

During an investigation, officers learned of a nearby address where the suspects were seen in the driveway. When officers responded to that address, they observed a commercial style microwave that appeared to have been taken in a burglary. After an investigation, officers were able to determine that the individuals in the vehicle were involved in a burglary of the concession stand at North County High School. A representative from the school responded and positively identified the property as being stolen from the concession stand. The two subjects in the vehicle confessed to the burglary and were charged with burglary and theft. A third subject, who was found to be present during the burglary was identified and is pending charges at this time.
