Severn River Lions Club luau scheduled for May 21

Lions ClubThe Severn River Lions Club will hold its Spring Luau Sat., May 21, 5 – 9 p.m. at the American Legion Post 175, 832 Manhattan Beach Road, Severna Park.

Entertainment and catering will be provided by the internationally recognized Hawaiian Entertainment Company.

The luau includes a one-hour Polynesian show featuring:  Hula/Polynesian dancers, fire dancer/eater, and Polynesian narrator/drummer.  Native costume changes and audience Hula lessons are included in the performance.

An “all-you-can-eat” buffet-style feast with native-dressed servers offers: whole pig; coconut fried shrimp; Polynesian Teriyaki glazed pineapple chicken; passion fruit/guava sweet/sour meatballs; luau style coconut rice and salads; Maui brown sugar pineapple upside-down cake; and toasted coconut cake with butter cream frosting.

Price: $49 – cash bar. Tickets limited to 200.

The Severn River Lions Club has 60 members and meets the first and third Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m., American Legion Post 175, 832 Manhattan Beach Road in Severna Park.  Lions clubs consist of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.
