Hogan appoints Paula Darrah to Board at AACC

New member of Anne Arundel Community College’s Board of Trustees

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has appointed Paula J. Darrah, J.D., an attorney with Warfield Darrah &Erdmann, P.C., to the Anne Arundel Community College Board of Trustees to fill the unexpired term of Kimberly McCoy Burns.

Darrah earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland College Park and a law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Her practice focuses on family law, including trial practice in divorce, custody and support. She was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1985, to practice before the U.S. District Court, District of Maryland in 1986 and before the U.S. Supreme Court in 2001. 

A member of the Anne Arundel Bar Association and the family law section of the Maryland Bar Association and the American Bar Association, she has been a lecturer for the county bar association, the YWCA and other civil groups.

The AACC Board of Trustees is the college’s eight-member governing board. Members are appointed by the governor for six-year terms, except for the student member who serves one year. The board meets monthly, from September through June, usually on the second Tuesday of the month except in February when it meets on the fourth Tuesday.
