Grand Opening: Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant to open on Monday

Coopers HawkMaryland’s first Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant will open on Monday, May 16 in the Annapolis Towne Centre.

An innovative concept that has drawn rave reviews, Cooper’s Hawk offers a modern, casual dining experience with warm service and a menu developed with its own specialty handcrafted wines firmly in mind.  Complementing Cooper’s Hawk’s innovative concept is the restaurant’s unique design. The two-story establishment will feature a lower-level tasting room and gift shop with the restaurant, bar and outdoor dining space located on the second level.

Featuring their own proprietary varietals crafted from their winery, the restaurant features unique dishes paired with bin numbers on the menu that guide guests to their selection’s perfect wine match. Signature items such as Soy Ginger Salmon, Chicken Giardiniera, Asian Pork Belly Tostadas and Mexican Drunken Shrimp have quickly found popularity as the restaurant’s signature dishes.

The restaurant also features one of the country’s largest wine of the month clubs, offering subscribers monthly wines, special discounts, invitations to exclusive events, rewards, and annual domestic and international wine trips. Cooper’s Hawk has received more than 350 awards from various local, national and international wine competitions.  The restaurant recently received a 99-point score at the Critics Challenge International Wine Competition for its Lux Pinot Noir.

Led by General Manager Scott Anderson, the 9,454-square-foot restaurant will offer indoor and outdoor seating with occupancy for more than 300 guests, as well as a large private dining and event room that can be subdivided.

“Annapolis’ growing culinary community makes it the perfect area to open our first location in Maryland,” said Tim McEnery, Founder and CEO of Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants. “Pairing our wines with signature menu items offers something that this area has not seen before, and we’re excited for a chance to provide that.”

The restaurant and tasting room will open daily at 11 a.m., and will remain open until 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, until 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and close at 9 p.m. on Sunday. Reservations are recommended. The bar will have extended hours, closing at 11:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 11 p.m. on Sunday.

The Annapolis location is the 23rd Cooper’s Hawk restaurant in the country, with additional units slated to open 2016. For more information about Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants, visit www.chwinery.com.
