Award-Winning authors to lead a Spring Writing Intensive at St. John’s College

The second annual Spring Writing Intensive at St. John’s College offers an ideal opportunity for writers of all skill levels to delve into the art of storytelling and enhance their craft. Organized by noted authors Laura Oliver and Lynn Auld Schwartz, participants may select four workshops from a menu of seven craft options that include memoir, fiction, nonfiction, and publishing advice. Through such workshops as “Adapting your Novel, Memoir, or True Story for The Big Screen,” “The Digital Era of Authorship,” “Behind the Passes: Why Literary Agents Say No (and, Occasionally, Yes),” among others, participants will select the subjects that address their most challenging writing issues and complete the day equipped with new skills, understanding, and motivation.

The second annual Spring Writing Intensive will be held in Mellon Hall on Saturday, May 21 from 9:15 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuition is $175. Breakfast, lunch, and wine reception.
