2 workshops scheduled for dementia and Alzheimers

AA Department of AgingThe Department of Aging and Disabilities is pleased to announce two up-coming Caregiver Workshops. Dr. Robert Conley will present “Today’s Alzheimer’s Research” on May 11th at the O’Malley Senior Activity Center, 1275 Odenton Road, Odenton. For information or to register for this workshop, call 410-222-4464, Ext. 3043, or register online at http://www.aacounty.org/aging.

A limited number of spaces are available for the May 25th “Communicating through Behaviors: The Virtual Dementia Tour” at the Annapolis Senior Activity Center, 119 South Villa Avenue, Annapolis. The Virtual Dementia Tour® is a scientifically proven method of developing a greater understanding of dementia using patented sensory tools and instructions. The training encompasses an experiential learning tool followed by a debriefing and educational component. Pre-registration is required. Please call (410) 222-4464 ext. 3043 or 3045.

All workshops will be held from 630-8:30 pm and are presented at no cost to the public by the National Family Caregiver Support Program of the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities.
