Mayor Michael Pantelides invites you to the dedication of the City’s newest street-end park in the West Annapolis neighborhood.
A ribbon cutting to dedicate Shiley Park will take place on Saturday, April 23 at noon. The park is located at the end of Shiley Street, near Giddings Avenue, in West Annapolis. The last dedication of a street-end park was 10 years ago, so Mayor Pantelides, Recreation and Parks Director Michael Morris and former Mayor Ellen Moyer ask the West Annapolis community and all residents of Annapolis attend and be a part of the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the City’s newest park.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of GreenScape, and during the past 25 years, Annapolis residents have beautified hundreds of public spaces throughout the City. Shiley Street residents have been participating in GreenScape since 2008. Their commitment to GreenScape has converted an overgrown area to a lovely woodland park.
Refreshments will be served. Please R.S.V.P. to Marisa Wittlinger at [email protected].
