Baysox score all six runs with two outs in 6-2 win

Baysox2016On a cool night in Erie, the Baysox bats remained hot providing numerous clutch hits in a 6-2 victory. The win was a fourth consecutive for the Baysox.

Down 2-0 in the fourth inning, Chris O’Brien singled home two runs to tie the game on a solid chopper through the right side of the infield. That would be the beginning of a big night for the Baysox with two men down.

In the seventh inning with two outs and nobody aboard, Mike Yastrzemski ripped a double to right-centerfield. Corban Joseph then singled sharply up the middle to plate Yastrzemski with the lead run and Bowie was on top 3-2.

The Baysox added three more runs in the eighth inning – once again with two outs. Drew Dosch singled to score Julio Borbon and as the ball was bobbled in right field Sisco got third base. He would score on an errant pickoff play. Following a wild pitch that moved Dosch to third base, Glynn Davis added another run with a single to center and it was a 6-2 Baysox lead.

Bowie got a strong start from Jayson Aquino who picked up his first win in the Orioles organization. Aquino kept his pitch count down and worked 6 and 1/3rd inning to get the win. Ashur Tolliver entered with one on and one down in the seventh inning working with a one run lead. Tolliver enticed a big double play ball to end the threat. He worked 2 and 2/3rd scoreless innings for his first save of the year.
