Annapolis Waterfront Hotel partners with Naval Academy for visitors

Annapolis Waterfront HotelSince 1845, the United States Naval Academy has played an integral role in the history of Annapolis and the nation.  Recently renovated to bring elements of the neighboring Academy’s history and maritime traditions into the hotel, Autograph Collection’s Annapolis Waterfront Hotel has partnered with this iconic institution to also provide one-of-a-kind opportunities for guests to immerse themselves in U.S. Naval Academy heritage.  Each package represents the independent spirit of the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, a member of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection Hotels, and embraces the collection’s commitment to providing experiences that are “Exactly Like Nothing Else”.  

“We made a concerted effort to honor the U.S. Naval Academy and the brave men and women of the Navy in our recent hotel renovation,” says Gary Burke, general manager of Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, Autograph Collection. “These packages are the culmination of that project and we are excited to provide our guests with these opportunities to experience the Academy firsthand in a unique way.”   

U.S. Naval Academy Walking Tour Package includes:

·         Overnight accommodations in a city view room

·         Guided 2 1/2 hour walking tour of the U.S. Naval Academy for 2

Each tour is led by a U.S. Naval Academy certified guide who will greet guests in the hotel lobby and escort them on a 20 minute narrated stroll through historic downtown while discussing the unique connections between the city and the Academy.  Once on the grounds, guests will tour “the Yard”, learn about the life of a midshipman and delve into the Academy’s rich history and architecture. The tour concludes at the U.S. Naval Academy Museum in Preble Hall with its world-renowned Rogers Ship Model Collection.  Tours are available at 9am or 2pm Monday – Saturday and at 2pm on Sunday.  

Rates for this package start at $274 per room, per night.

U.S. Naval Academy Walking Tour and Lunch at The Alley Package includes:

  • Overnight accommodations in a city view room
  • Guided 2 1/2 hour walking tour of the U.S. Naval Academy for 2; available at 9am Monday – Friday only
  • Lunch for 2 at the Naval Academy Club “Officer’s Club”, The Alley; includes any “Alley” lunch item, dessert, non-alcoholic beverage and gratuity, per person (Alcoholic beverages are not included and tax does not apply.) 

Rates for this package start at $324 per room, per night.  

Exactly Like Nothing Else Package, features dinner for 2 at the Naval Academy Club “Officer’s Club”.  Located on the beautiful grounds of the U.S. Naval Academy, this members-only club provides a unique combination of military history and prestige with fine dining and customer service.  Guests of the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, Autograph Collection can enjoy this exclusive opportunity to dine and experience the U.S. Naval Academy through this lens of tradition.  The package includes:

  • Overnight accommodations in a city view room
  • Dinner for 2 at the Naval Academy Club “Officer’s Club”; includes choice of soup and salad, entree, dessert, non-alcoholic beverage and gratuity, per person (Alcoholic beverages are not included and tax does not apply.)

Rates for this package start at $314 per room, per night.

All packages are valid beginning April 11, 2016 and are subject to availability. Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance and a 72 hour cancellation is required. Room tax and parking are not included in package price. Guests 18 years or older will be required to present a valid original US government issued photo ID or original passport to enter U.S. Naval Academy grounds.  Visitors from the states of Washington, Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri and American Samoa are required to present a second photo ID.
