| March 06, 2016, 08:40 AM | 0 Comments

The Annapolis Film Festival will be rolling into town later this month and with it comes your chance to see some pretty awesome movies, interact with actors, directors, producers, and simply have a great time strolling Annapolis and experiencing something pretty special that has been going on for four years now!

Here is a sneak peek at some of the wonderful films you will find at Mitscher Hall, Key Auditorium, Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, Annapolis Elementary, St. Anne’s Parish House, Rams Head On Stage, the newly opened Chesapeake Brewing Company, and the historical Asbury United Methodist Church.

One More Time

Sulking in his Hamptons mansion, faded crooner Paul Lombard stews over the professional acclaim that eluded him and the trail of romantic wreckage left in his wake. Matters are complicated when daughter Jude arrives with her own problems, including a rivalry with her overachieving sister, a ruinous love life, and a fraught relationship with her famous father. (USA, 2015, 98 min.)

Climate Change: A Few Degrees Less

Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Earth Institute, has a mission: he wants to keep the world temperature from rising by more than two degrees Celsius before 2050. If the temperature rises more than these two degrees, the Earth is bound to experience climate-caused disasters. How can scientists organize and compel governments around the globe to act before it’s too late? (USA, 2015, 52 min.)

Driving While Black

Dimitri is barely making ends meet, delivering pizzas, when he is offered a dream job driving a Hollywood tour bus. He’s just trying to get through L.A. traffic, but at nearly every turn he’s stopped and questioned by the police. With wry comedic insight and empathy, this timely film enumerates the black experience in everyday interactions with the police. (USA, 2015, 95 min.)

Little Miss Perfect

Belle, an over-achieving high school freshman, struggles to balance her roles at school, where she’s the president of her class, and at home, where her absent mother looms large. When she stumbles upon an online subculture promoting eating disorders, cracks begin to appear in her seemingly perfect life. As Belle slips deeper into this insidious world, she fights to regain control. (USA, 2015, 82 min.)
