Maryland’s Transportation Secretary to speak at BWI Business Partnership event

Maryland’s Secretary of Transportation, Pete Rahn, will be the keynote speaker at the BWI Business Partnership’s Signature Breakfast, which will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 7:45 a.m. at The Marriott BWI, 1743 West Nursery Road in Linthicum.

Secretary Rahn was appointed Transportation Secretary by Governor Larry Hogan on January 21, 2015. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Rahn served as the Chairman of the New Mexico State Transportation Commission from 2011 to 2015 and the Director of the Missouri Department of Transportation from 2004 to 2010. In both of these positions, from highways and transit to airports and freight rail, Mr. Rahn managed billions in multi-modal transportation investments to create jobs and enhance economic development, while focusing on innovation, teamwork, accountability and enhanced communication. He is the first person to have led transportation departments in three different states.

“Transportation issues will be prominent over the next few months as the Governor and General Assembly discuss and set Maryland’s priorities for the coming fiscal year.”” said Greg Pecoraro, Executive Director of the Partnership. “We are excited that Secretary Rahn will join us in February to help put this discussion in context and share the Hogan Administration’s plans with our members,
