March 18th, Anne Arundel to celebrate Maryland Day 2016

Maryland-FlagMaryland Day 2016 will be celebrated throughout Annapolis and Southern Anne Arundel County Friday, March 18th until Sunday, March 20th. Rediscover Maryland’s history with family and friends during a fun-filled festival highlighting the uniqueness of the Four Rivers Heritage Area for a dollar or free! Local cultural and heritage sites offer special activities and tours. Stroll through downtown Annapolis or visit Historic London Town and the Annapolis countryside to enjoy educational tours, costumed re-enactors, art exhibits, kids’ activities, and more. The weekend will also include a tour of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s headquarters, new exhibition at the Mitchell Gallery at St. John’s College, and a fun scavenger hunt for history in the City of Annapolis.The Maryland Day Celebration features events at various locations throughout the weekend to celebrate the history of our home state.
