coliseumMThis year’s “An Evening in Venice” Gala, a fundraiser for the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County takes place on Saturday March 19th. New this year is a raffle for a trip for two to Rome (including airfare). Tickets are $100 each and are being sold prior to the event. It is not necessary to be present at the drawing to win. The lucky couple will stay at the luxurious Marriott Park Hotel and Spa for five nights and tour the Sistine Chapel as part of their memorable Italy Adventure. The raffle drawing is just one facet of an evening that includes dinner, dancing, live entertainment, plus the opportunity to bid on live and silent auction items. Old World beauty, romance, Italy and Venice are all integral to the theme of the Arts Council‘s 19th annual Gala, An Evening in Venice

It is not necessary to be present at the drawing at the Loews Annapolis Hotel on March 19th to be a raffle winner, but it is an outstanding event and the one yearly fundraiser for The Arts Council. Tickets to the Gala are $150 per person (table for 10 $1500) The event begins with a cocktail reception at 6:30 and dinner is served at 8:00 p.m. Money raised at the event goes to support nonprofit arts organizations, programs, and art education in Anne Arundel County.

Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Arts Council at 410-222-7949, contacting them online at or mailing at check to 2666 Riva Road MS 8150 Annapolis MD 21401.
