Navy’s Chris Swain invited to play in Reese’s Senior Bowl All-Star Game

swainNavy senior fullback Chris Swain has been invited to the Reese’s Senior Bowl All-Star Game, which will take place on Saturday, Jan. 30 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile.

Swain is just the fourth Navy player in school history to be invited to the Senior Bowl, which is considered to be the most prestigious of all the all-star games as the participants are selected by NFL scouts.  Napoleon McCallum (1986, MVP of the Senior Bowl), Eric Kettani (2008) and Joe Cardona (2014) are the other three Navy players that have garnered an invite.

Swain enters Saturday’s game against Army with 847 yards and 10 touchdowns on 169 carries (5.0 yards per carry).  He needs 153 yards rushing to become the first Navy fullback to rush for more than 1,000 yards since Kyle Eckel in 2004.

#21 Army (9-2) takes on Army (2-9) on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.  Kickoff is set for 3:00 PM and the game will be televised nationally by CBS.
