Chartwell Foundations donated $6500 to Providence Center

Providence Center, a non-profit organization that serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, announced today that it has received a $6,500 grant from Severna Park-based Chartwell Foundation.

Providence Center supports men and women throughout Anne Arundel County. Its mission is to empower these individuals to build skills, gain independence, have meaningful, contributing roles in the community, and achieve their goals in life. Grant funds will support the operations of Providence Center’s programs and services, including supported employment, transportation, day habilitation, senior care, and vocational training programs in woodworking, pottery, and horticulture. 

Providence Center CEO Chuck Coble said, “We are so thankful for this grant and for the ongoing support of the Chartwell Foundation. They do so much good work to help our local community and we are grateful for their partnership to improve the lives of these men and women.”

Providence Center, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, supports nearly 500 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Anne Arundel County Maryland. Its mission is to provide services that allow individuals with disabilities to enjoy increased self-determination in leading a more independent, valuable and functioning role in society. These support services are individually designed and professionally managed to enable these individuals to exercise higher levels of control over their lives.
