Annapolis Parks and RecAnnapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides and Annapolis Recreation and Parks Director Michael Morris invite the community to attend a ribbon cutting event to celebrate the renovated Truxtun Park Skate Park. The event will be held Saturday, November 7 at 11 a.m. at the Truxtun Park Skate Park, located on Truxtun Park Road in Annapolis.

The skate park was renovated this past spring with City of Annapolis capital improvement funds with product and service contributions from country music singer Kip Moore’s Kip’s Kids Fund Foundation, Pillar Design, Artisan Skate Parks, Chaney Enterprises, Vulcan Concrete, Fence Connection and volunteer support from members of the Annapolis skating community. Mayor Pantelides will dedicate the Truxtun Park Skate Park and recognize the efforts of those involved with the renovation.

Following remarks by vendors and donors, there will be refreshments and giveaways for those attending the event. In addition, the event will include multiple skate competitions with cash prizes for local skaters to demonstrate their abilities to the public.

The event is free and open to the public. For additional information, please call Annapolis Recreation and Parks at 410.263.7958.
