The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts honored Herrmann Advertising | Branding | Technology of Annapolis with two silver 2015 International Davey Awards for the agency’s work in cause marketing and annual report production. Herrmann’s work in creating Howard County Health Department’s “Breastfeeding is a Family Affair” print campaign was selected as a Davey silver award winner. The campaign featured engaging photography of fathers with their babies to emphasize the important role fathers play in successful breastfeeding outcomes, and conveys the message that breastfeeding is natural, healthy and convenient. The creative ran across a variety of community outreach platforms including print media, in-clinic and hospital maternity service promotions, as well as mall and transit advertising.

The second silver award, in the annual report category, recognized our work in designing, writing and producing the Defining Matters publication for our longtime law firm client, Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel. The 68-page report uses stunning photography and design techniques to offer readers a compilation of significant representations over the last two years along with content that illustrate the firm’s capabilities and industry depth. This year’s publication was the first annual report to feature the firm’s new brand identity – a project that Herrmann designed over the past year. Brand elements symbolic of Kramer Levin’s momentum, combined with the firm’s strong blue and gold color palette, were incorporated throughout the report.

The International Davey Awards honors the achievements of small agencies that derive their strength from big ideas, rather than big budgets. It is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms.

Founded in 1979, Herrmann is a woman-owned, full-service agency that serves clients around the country. The agency offers a wide range of strategic brand marketing, advertising, Web technology and design, copywriting, photography and video production services to businesses, legal and professional services firms, financial services companies, educational institutions, government agencies, nonprofits and others.
