Cross dressing bank robber thwarted by Anne Arundel County Police

Dixon HendersonOn October 29, 2015 at approximately 1155 hours, officers were dispatched to the Hamilton Bank located 8108 Jumpers Hole Road for a robbery that just occurred. Preliminary information provided was that an Asian female armed with a knife had just robbed the bank. Officers were able to clarify that an Asian male, seemingly disguised as a female, had entered the bank and approached an on duty bank teller. The suspect displayed a knife and demanded cash. Once cash was obtained, the suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle. A detailed description of the vehicle was provided and responding officers were able to locate this vehicle near the intersection of East West Boulevard and Veterans Highway. The vehicle was stopped and the lone occupant detained. The ensuing investigation would lead to the vehicle’s occupant being charged with having committed the aforementioned armed bank robbery.
