Yoga for Wellness House

yogaWellness House of Annapolis invites area yoga enthusiasts to participate in the 4th Annual Yogathon.

Local yoga enthusiasts will partake in 108 sun salutations to raise funds for Wellness House of Annapolis –participants may do half, or a quarter, or do them all! The count is not important. The point is to do what’s possible to help a worthwhile organization that assists area individuals and families who have been touched by cancer. 

Since the first year, participants have raised over $10,000. Funds for the local organization help Wellness House of Annapolis provide free programs, support groups, and resources to cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones.

Wellness House of Annapolis volunteer yoga instructors, and area teachers from partner studios, will lead a series of 108 sun salutations that will be appropriate for all levels, and end with a guided meditation. Following the practice, participants are invited to enjoy healthy snacks and an opportunity to browse goods from local vendors.

The event will be held at the Bay Ridge Community Pool Clubhouse, located at 2 Herndon Drive, Annapolis, MD 21043 on Saturday, October 3, 2015, from 8:30 am – 2:00 p.m.

The cost to participate in the Yogathon is $40 and registration is available at

All proceeds go to Wellness House of Annapolis. Registrants also receive a free souvenir t-shirt.

Participants are encouraged to participate in fundraising for the Wellness House Yogathon. Prizes for fundraisers will be awarded. Raising funds of $200 or more for the event will allow free registration for the event. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mats (extra mats will be available). Bottled water, cool towels and free snacks and fruit will be provided during and after the event.
