[do action=”fringe”/]

annapolis_boat_show2The United States Powerboat Show returns to the Annapolis City Dock on October 15 – 18, 2015. Activities planned for the weekend include a demo dock to try new boat models and propulsion systems before you buy, and a Ford F-150 trailer backing technology demonstration.

Dealers and manufacturers will conduct sea trials from inside the boat show at easy to access demonstration docks, The expanded demo docks will not only feature new model boats but also outboard engines and stabilizing systems designed to eliminate most boat roll, including the fatigue, anxiety and seasickness that goes with it.

United States Powerboat Show attendees have a chance to be part of an historic automotive technology launch. Backing a boat trailer can be tricky, with the confusion of turning the wheel opposite your desired direction or a tendency to overturn and jackknife the trailer. The 2016 Ford F-150 has segment-first technology that allows drivers to steer a trailer instinctively by turning a knob left or right to indicate direction; the truck controls its steering and limits vehicle speed. Consumers who test-drive the Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ at the Powerboat Show will be entered for a chance to win a new 2016 Ford F-150.

Cruisers University offers the most comprehensive curriculum on cruising and boat preparedness.
