sweet16_bencake_PBen is salivating in anticipation of Paws pet boutique’s Sweet 16 Anniversary Party on Friday, September 25 from 6 to 8 pm. As the Jack Russell mascot of the boutique, Ben knows the celebration means complimentary dog cake will be served. Definitely his favorite! As a “Thank you” for all the support over the years this small business is celebrating in a big way that includes a spectacular Raffle, in-store and online specials as well as refreshments for all.

“Giving back is an integral component of our business philosophy, so hosting Ben’s Sweet 16 Raffle at our anniversary celebration was a natural,” shares owner Michelle Ullrich-Kownacki. All the proceeds from Ben’s Raffle will be donated to Animal Legal Defense Fund, the group that rescued Ben years ago from a hoarder. Those who make a donation have an opportunity to win a Southwest Airlines ticket, a Red Leash Pet Photography session or Golf at Queenstown Harbor! Tickets are available now at Paws pet boutique until the drawing at 8 pm on September 25. Winners need not be present to win.

“We have the opportunity to raise $10,000 to help animals at our Paws Party”, states Michelle. Another dog-friendly Annapolis business, The Squires Group, is partnering with Paws to help make a BIG difference! They will match donations raised from Paws Sweet 16 Celebration up to $5,000! So if $5,000 is raised, $10,000 will be donated to Animal Legal Defense Fund. The Squires Group has worked with Paws pet boutique on other fundraisers in the past that raised $20,000+, so these small businesses are no strangers to success!

To top all these great happenings, another small business Tracy Menz Designs is presenting a Trunk Show of her handmade jewelry that evening at the store and donating 20% of the sales to ALDF. For all the details stop in Paws pet boutique on State Circle downtown Annapolis, give them a call at 410-263-8683 or visit the events page of their site www.pawspetboutique.com.
