Pasadena man arrested in Glen Burnie arson

Members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit have made an arrest following their investigation into a July dwelling fire in Glen Burnie. Justin Michael Clum, 26, of Pasadena, was arrested Saturday night and faces 15 criminal charges, including three counts of attempted first degree murder.

The charges and subsequent arrest are the result of investigation following the July 17th dwelling fire at 15 Wendover Road in Glen Burnie. The fire occurred at approximately 3:40 that morning and displaced five adults while doing approximately $150,000 in damage to the dwelling which was completely destroyed. The three occupants at home at the time of the fire were able to escape after being alerted by working smoke alarms.

The defendant is charged with three counts of first degree attempted murder as well as one count of first degree arson, four counts of malicious burning in the first degree, three counts of reckless endangerment along with four counts of malicious destruction of property.

Although an arrest has been made in the incident this continues to be an active and ongoing investigation.
