City and County partner to offer drive-thru flu shots on October 21

The City of Annapolis in partnership with Anne Arundel County Government will hold a free Drive-Through Flu Clinic on Wednesday, October 21 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Free seasonal flu shots will be provided to everyone who is age 6 months and older.  This will be the first drive-through flu clinic ever held in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.

  • Who:    Everyone who lives, works, attends school or visits Anne Arundel County (age 6 months and older). Individuals under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • What:   Free seasonal flu shots while supplies last. Health-related giveaways.
  • When:  Wednesday, October 21, 11 a.m.  –  6 p.m., weather permitting.
  • Where: Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, 550 Taylor Avenue. Annapolis, MD 21401
  • Why: Flu vaccination is the most effective way to prevent the flu. 

Each year in the United States, thousands of people die from seasonal flu-related complications and approximately 200,000 people are hospitalized from seasonal flu-related causes. 

This clinic will be coordinated by the City of Annapolis Office of Emergency Management, along with the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, and other City and County agencies. Support will be provided by the Anne Arundel Medical Center.
