Chesapeake Arts Center names new Director of Development

adriene troutThe Chesapeake Arts Center (CAC) is pleased to announce the hiring of Adrienne Trout as Director of Development. Trout is a nonprofit fundraiser and administrator, community-based supporter with more than fifteen years of experience in the non-profit industry.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Adrienne to CAC,” said CAC Executive Director Belinda Huesman.”Adrienne’s nonprofit background and passion for community partnerships will be an asset to the CAC, and we are very lucky to have her on our team.”  

She comes to CAC from the BWI Business Partnership where she managed its foundation and planned its Signature Speaker Series featuring senior business leaders.   Trout is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel’s Flagship program. She has received numerous awards and leadership recognition including the Maryland Governor’s Volunteer Service Award and the Fort Meade Commander’s Highest Award.

As Director of Development, Adrienne Trout joins the CAC leadership team with responsibility for generating support for the organization by fundraising from individuals, corporations, government and foundations, and developing community and corporate partnerships.  Of her new position, Trout said, “I am thrilled to start a new challenge with the Chesapeake Arts Center and look forward to working with the team to enhance their efforts to provide the community with affordable arts through education and entertainment.  I am fortunate to be joining a respected community arts center that has some of the best performing and teaching spaces anywhere in the region.”

Trout’s experience with community-based organizations includes the USO, Girl Scouts and the YWCA. She also developed the Operation USO Care Package, a $40M project from 2001-2003, that provided care packages on behalf of the American public to 2.5 million service members in Iraq and Afghanistan.
