On Thursday, August 20th detectives arrested Daniel Dickson, 26, of Annapolis for crimes against children.  This investigation started when Dickson interacted with an undercover officer online.  Dickson resided in Annapolis at the time of the crime and an Annapolis Police Department Detective working with an FBI Task Force obtained an arrest warrant for Dickson.

With the help of the FBI and the Anne Arundel County Police Department a search and seizure warrant was executed at the current home of Dickson in the 600 block of Puritan Court.  Computer equipment was seized and submitted for examination.  Dickson was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography, and four other criminal violations relating to child pornography.  Dickson was released from the Jennifer Road Detention Center after a bond hearing before a judge.

According to court records, aside from numerous traffic violations, Dickson has faced several charges in Baltimore County for theft.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Detective Chuck Bealefeld at 410-260-3439 or [email protected].
